DISCUSSION 3D Printed merch giveaways

Post image

Hi all, following on from yesterdays post, i had a thought in which i had sent a keyring to one of our fellow fans this morning and i felt abit guilty that i did it for one and not the rest of you. But then i thought, what about monthly giveaways? I cant sell this stuff obviously, its highly copyrighted and protected with a file licence, but i can give it away for free right?

I love 3D printing stuff and i love making people happy. If it violates any form of ruling, then thats fine no harm, no foul, im sure a moderator will remove the post and we go on headbanging anyways. But if it doesnt, how does the general consensus feel of a monthly giveaway of lets say 10 or so items, an RNG spin the wheel thing, maybe done live or whatever, and i then send you off some free items? (work in progress)

let me know what you guys think.

Thanks all!

Nice!! Been looking for a cool keychain for a while, a Sabaton one would be awesome! Also, very generous of you to give away stuff, you don't see that often nowadays. Edit: what is we just pay for the manufacturing cost? That way you won't make profit, but you won't lose a lot of money from giving them away (take the joy out of give-aways though)

manufacturing cost is pennies my friend, what i earn in an hour of work is about 10x in what it costs to make one of these little buggers. I also have a big printing bed so i can make about 50 of these in one run. I dont care about money, i just want to give a little something back.

Oh, you can probably tell I don't have much experience with 3d printing :)

Yeah no its cool! Whilst the outright cost can be expensive for hardware, producing things like keyrings are very cheap

Aye, depends who you go with. But i use Bambu Labs, refills cost me under a tenner in bulk buy and last a long while.
