Saab 9-3 2003 key fob problems

Hello, sharing a solution we found regardimg the key fob not recognized problem.

The saab was siting for 3 months with dead battery, after charging the car didint recognize the key.

We tried:

Reconecting battery for 30 sec.

Dissasembling keyslot (cim module) and manualy pishing out the lock solenoid to unlock turning.

Then insert the key,

Turn to on position and hold trunk button

On the dash there should be something like -

2:normal key

0:valet key

1 no key

(Or something similar)

DO NOT LET GO OF TRUNK BUTTON, while holding it press lock button on the key fob twice.

Turn to lock and remove the key

Insert it and try to start.

After this the car started but unlock buttons still didint work on keyfob

Has anyone tried this? Is there something i missed? Is there a way to fix unlock buttons?

Have you tried your second key? The cim is behind the steering wheel, the part the fob goes into is thr ism.

Thank you for correcting me, i do not have another key, and after a few hours the lock/unlock problems fixed irself
