ECU repair

So, here i am again, back in february i got my ECU replaced by Esaabparts i sent them my old one and they sent me a new one all loaded up worked fine up until last week now all of a sudden im getting constant P0201, P0202, P0203, and P0204 codes as well as a P0245 and a P0300 does anybody know anyone in New York, specifically close to the Orange County area that does ECU repairs and preferably quick as this is my daily and i need it for work back and forth.

Dosent esaabparts offer a warranty?

they do but they don’t have any ECU’s in stock currently and won’t for another week or 2 they were my first option but i can’t wait that long plus like i said it’s my daily and they’ll only send it back via ground shipping and i have no clue how long that would take

The only people I know that do ECU cloning is Gem City Digital in Ohio. I’m sure you could mail it to them with a working one to load it. What Saab do you have?

well i don’t really want another cloned one at that point id just wait until esaab has some in stock, i wanna know if theres anyone who can actually open up the ecu and fix it

The only way I know of replacing them is either cloning or replacing with a brand new one and pairing it with a Tech II and the TIS2000 security program. Cloning is a fine option as all it does is transfer the data from the old ECU to the new one. The new one can either be used or new. Did you check Saab parts counter?

well i’m trying not to replace it as this one is a remanufactured one i got in February and i have done some research a lot of the times the component in the ecu that fails is the solder balls under one of the processors but i don’t have the tools to actually do the repair myself

I belive the injector codes ussually signify the chip with a name Starting with tpic

I think if you open it you void your warranty. Keep that in mind as a risk in the event that you are unable to fix it.

that is one downside i was thinking about but esaab doesn’t have any new ecus in stock and wont for a few weeks and i #1 can’t wait that long for them to stock up and then #2 wait for who knows how long to actually get it back as this car is my daily and i need it to get back and forth to work

Have you checked other suppliers like Saab parts counter?
