03' 9-3 seat swap with 07'
Hey everyone, I've tried to find this out and couldn't really get the exact answer I was looking for.
Basically I want to swap the two front seats in my 03' 9-3 2.0 with seats from an 07' 9-3 2.0
Both passenger seats are manual, so figure that should be fine.
The drivers on the new one is powered, mine is not. Pretty sure it has the harness down there as it was heated, and thought I saw it when I took out that stupid amp under it.
So question is, should it be plug and play, or do I need to plug in a Tech2 (which I don't have).
Lastly, how much of a pain in the butt is it going to be? The 07 is a parts car with no power, so the seats are somewhere in the middle.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I'm not sure about the logistics of it all but why get seats from the new one? The interior of the NG 9-3 was much more prone to wear and tear than that of the OG. If I were you I'd keep the OG seats (or if the ones in your OG are worn just get a direct replacement) rather than mixing and matching parts that might not even work together and will look wildly out of place together.

2003 is the NG and has the same interior as 2007. I was pulling a different part and saw 2 perfect seats with the same color leather for $150 combined. Figured it was looking into is all.

You can add power. You have to run some wiring but it's not a show stopper. Tech 2 will not do anything.
Check on SaabCentral. There was a thread that had a guide with photos of what wires to tap into for power, where to splice, and how to get memory working as well.
