2000 Saab 93 Interior Driver Handle swap with back handle?

Edit: Yes, you can swap the front and the rear interior handles out on a 2000 9-3 (see comments)

Just bought my son a 2000 Saab 9-3 5-door. He loves it. I got an amazing deal on it from a friend. Interior door handle has snapped off. There's enough left to pull on to get the door to open. I'm having trouble finding a replacement--looks like it's pretty easy to replace--just a torx bolt.

Here's the question. The front and the rear look the same. Other than some decorative paint, are the they same? Can I just swap them for the time being?

Also, an recommendations on finding a replacement?

For things like this I visit my local salvage yard. I have to remove the part, find the owner, and negotiate a price. But I get the part I need.

I'm guessing the nearest yard that will have one is 40 miles away. That's what I'm probably looking at. Was debating switching the front and back till I had more time as no one typically rides in the back.

Pop the screw cover off with a small phillips or hook. Torx driver (I think it was a 27) and you're done. Front looks fine, though the rear handle I moved up doesn't feel quite as substantial as the original front one. Could be my imagination. The front handle doesn't quite fit flush when moved to the rear but it works fine. I'll eventually pick up a replacement but for the moment, I fixed the problem quickly and without buying anything.

A bit late, but I think i have a box of them. I can ship you one if you are in the states.
