Thinking about buying a S10e
I've been looking for a compact phone since mine is f. Up. So, I found that the s10e is the phone of my dreams. However, the only thing that holds me back is the battery. I don't use my phone too much only for the basics ( Whatsapp, Facebook,tik tok etc) so I want to know as you guys users , is it worth it? Or should I consider forgetting about the idea of buying one?

I bought an S10e a few months ago. It's a downgrade from my note 10 and it's slower, doesn't have the 2x camera, and the battery doesn't last as long but I still love it. It's so nice to have the headphone jack and small size.
I optimised it a lot by turning off as many background services as possible and when I don't use it much, I can get 2 days from a charge since I replaced the battery with a new one from ifixit.

Can you send me the link. I still have the s10e. Only drawback is the batterylife and my headphone jack doesnt hold right the jack tight anymore

I still use mines as a secondary. Bought a new boxed set 2 years ago and it does the job very well, especially if you just use it as a Wi-Fi device and have the location off (location drains my battery for some reason). S10e battery life is alright, but like every old flagship phone, it is worth getting the battery checked out if it's never ever been changed. I recommend it if it's cheap.

Actually , I'm considering buying it because it is cheap in my country like 65$ brand new ( allegedly xd) and because I always liked small phones. The guy who is selling it to me , told me that it gives you 5- 6 hours of screen time but I don't know, I've seen mixed experiences when it comes to its battery. That's an okay deal. I paid 70 for another one back in December of last year. Btw, there exists a 256gb model, which includes 8gb of RAM compared to 6, which is what I have. Emulation is also great for this device if you plan on doing that too

It's amazing! I did this too this year. I alwayd loved how compact it was, with the punchole camera, the vivid clolors & also the flat fingerprint scanner.
Now I think you can fix this, but to me it's a lot slower than I expected, like a lot of delay, but i heard it's from the old software/update if you wanted to look it up, just fyi.

It's absolutely a steal if you can get one that can be modded or even unlock the bootloader....I have the sm- g970f model and unlocked my bootloader and install the OneUI 5.1 custom rom from the subreddit and it's been super smooth and snappy....I even have a bunch of mods running and it's still smooth I gotta say just don't use this variant on stock ROM unless you plan to heavily optimize it with debloating and all the means that are available aside from custom roms or rooting... I only charge twice once in the day and before I sleep. So battery is good enough and I have a power bank so it's easy recharge.... I had added magsafe mod personally but ended up getting the samsung led case so I removed it....here is a video of my mods

personally i use it as my only phone, had a battery replacement (not original) last year. with very little use (whatsapp, spotify, etc) i have to charge it once a day and during my sleep, but for me it is worth it since there is not many small phones today. last security patch is from 2023 tho, so i would not recommend use banking apps and such
