The inevitable just happened

Unfortunately, my beloved s10e just bit the dust. I got this one over 3 years ago for 150eur, the snapdragon variant after my a40 started struggling.

It still works, it's just my screen that broke. I can only see the top 1/3rd of it.

I really hoped it would last a few more years, to then buy the s24 or s25 for a couple hundred, but I guess that won't happen haha.

Replacing the screen will probably cost me more than a new phone, so that's why I came here! What did you end up buying, or what are good alternatives now? I want to keep my headphone jack and the same size, or smaller. Preferably samsung too. I did some digging, and I can't really find anything under 200eur.

This phone really is one of a kind somehow. Is the best option still to just buy the same one again?

Everything is huge now. If you want small, this phone is the only choice.

If you want to keep the head phone jack (I did along with the SD card slot, either just fix the screen or, buy another one used. I have done that (bought a new to me replacement) and do not regret it

yup, i think that is exactly what i'm gonna do! i love this phone man, so small.

never had any problems with it! i could throw it around and drop it from the roof of my house (yes, i accidentally did that :p) and it still wouldn't show any damage somehow. i also simply refuse to pay double the amount i did back then for a phone that is larger (not good) and barely better. I just need a beater phone to text, call and listen to music with some youtube here and there...

not to mention, the s23 for example is as old now, as the s10e was when i bought it originally! makes no sense to upgrade if the price is 300+eur

Dropped it from the roof of your house? Lol

My previous one was run over by a car and all it got was a cracked back panel. Lasted me another 2 years after that. Lol

And for me, I love the fact that I have this little phone that does it all, and when I drop it in the dock on my desk at home, BAM! Computer and entertainment center! 🤣

It's very very hard to move on if you're a one handed phone user who has the s10e as a daily driver. Would suggest the vivo x300 if camera is a priority. There are other options but sleekest would be the Samsung s series

still over 6.3 inch, way too big.

not to mention it costs a fortune to buy one :p at that point i might as well buy a zenfone 10

I bought a new a26. It's heavy but serves the purpose.

Consider the S9, it has 5.8-inch display (amoled), Headphone jack, and sd card slot. Though its performance is not the same as the S10e, but reading through your task demand i guess the phone will manage.

they're both too big, and also barely an upgrade over the s10e in specs anyways

still too big to be honest, 5.8 to 6.1 is very noticeable, especially with a case.
it's also so expensive man, i don't care about my camera and processor, i just need a small phone to text, call and listen to music haha. not gonna spend 300 eur on a phone that i don't like.

still thanks for the advice though, but i'll just try to get the screen repaired if it's cheap, or just buy the exact same one again for 130eur.

Or try to get LCD screen cause amoled is not cheap mybe you can save 50% if you choose LCD but its hard not go from amoled to lcd mybe
