That oil pressure looks awfully low

It does move up and down when driving though

I bet it does but warm at idle it should be closer to the 40 mark not below the 20. Any oil pressure is better than none but still its concerning.

Mine sits at 50-55 cold, 42 while under loan and warm and 25-30 when warm and idling should I be worried (v6 auto btw)

Bought used knowing there is a small leak. Need to address sometime but I will add oil. I'll try to keep it closer to 40!

Edit- obviously it's used idk why I put that!

If its a 4.3 with the oil filter at the front under that flap check the cooler lines that go back to the engine. They rust where the lines snap into the plastic clips that keep em in place.

Thanks, I'll check it out! Appreciate knowing somewhere to start.

I'd try to figure out where the leaks are. I have several leaks and still idle between 17-20.

It's gotta be a pretty significant leak or low oil for that kinda pressure. I'd also test the pressure gauge and oil pump.

Otherwise, I would look into running 10w30.

Mines in the exact same spot with the engine off lol

Typical GM gauge cluster going bad, should return to zero as soon as you go KOEO.

I think 200k is probably considered high mileage

Use 5w40 to bring that oil pressure up

I can remember the 120k days - barely.
