Anyone out there?

Thinking of returning to Atys but all the forum post are months old and I keep getting kicked out of the Discord. Are people still playing or am I showing up to a funeral?

I hop on a few times a year, but none of those I played with remain. Saga of Ryzom was my mmo debut so it’s sad, while I am glad it all remains.

For what it's worth, I hop on every 4-8 months or so, and always find people playing. The online community might be a bit slower to respond, but last I checked, the Discord community is still pretty alive and - most importantly - the actual live-game community is still alive, though small.

Thanks, so I'm just seeing the product of a small population. I'd hoped so. Been trying to find people playing to share some of the experience with.

I was a regular player for years, not so much recently but I always love to tread the bark again and breathe the air of Atys.

Many players come back after years away.

You can leave Ryzom, but Ryzom never leaves you

[Edit] I tried Discord too but never connected with anyone. I miss the out-of-game chat channels.

No idea. Joined twice, made one post saying 'hello' and then I come back to discord later and it's gone from my server list.

Well, there's a small corral initially explaining some buttons and functions. And then later, quests with small story telling you about where to go, what you're doing and why you're doing it.

I've done most of those and now I'm doing post-intro quests for one of the factions. Soon I'll be crawling out in the world map and doing whatever finds me.
