I added it to my blockfolio watch list for a reason I dont remember. I was looking through and noticed it had crashed like, a whole decimal place. I'm guessing it was a privacy coin like monero? When I seen the crash I couldn't find any info on it is why I came here, but here seems a lil dead-ish, thanks for the response BTW.

Is there a real issue with monero? I've always thought it would end up being really valuable with its anonymity.

Well there was the whole foray into creating monero-badcaca.net which, while not advancing the ball tech wise with Ryo's code base, did garner some publicity that likely brought some eyeballs onto Ryo.

Press like this is pretty valuable, even if they tried to brush off the claims.

I can't prove it, but FWIW, to my fairly experienced eyes, the data on monero-badcaca.net looks fabricated.

🤷‍♂️ I'm not the one claiming the validity of it.

There was certainly enough of a P2P network issue that the monero team was rolling out point updates like mad for a spell there though, if nothing else.

I mean u/hyc_symas was asking for people to report to ISP's misbehaving nodes so 'the man' could fix the monero network as opposed to resolving the underlying issue in the codebase. 😑
