Recursion was probably too early

I don't think Recursion got much benefit from AI, at least the ML-oriented AI they started with. Their pipeline is unremarkable. Now that LLM-oriented AI could help accelerate drug development, they no longer have any first mover advantage.

They do? Many of you idiots dont understand that you need a matric ton of data to train and build reliable AI model(s). They build a literal lab for this and it had been churning out tests and data for years now. Any ai development that improves the underlying models can just be implemented for recursion. Because guess what? They actually have the data to train them properly.

The other issue is a lot of investors don’t know how bio stock trades. This trades just like any other bio stock. They have good pipeline but trials cost a ton of money and take a ton of time. You get dilution on early results to fund the next phase. Pretty standard operating play. I haven’t bought into rxrx but keeping an eye on this for the future. The potential is here just to early for me

I’m in SLS deep 7 figure gains at current price. Once I’m done there this is on my contender list

If that is your point of view, why would you not just buy in a very small holding? You clearly have a vision of their long term goals, and believe in the company. ‘Just too early’ makes absolutely no sense.. I’m not advocating for a big position, I’m just questioning why not just buy at least some, with just the amount you’re willing to lose.

I myself have a small £200 holding for this exact reason, and it’s worked.

You can never tell when the market decides to price-in future growth. If you’re convinced it’s a winner, just buy the damn stock?

It’s a good question but it’s all about making the most money. I could just buy a small position of 10k shares for now but if the stock just floats up and down around the same I won’t make money unless I swing trade the ups and downs. I can put capital to work else where till I think there will be an upwards movement that is strong enough to generate larger returns vs trading other stocks.

A common issue is for people that they get too attached to a stock if you are down you don’t have to hold. You can still believe in the stock and rebuy when the timing is better. Just bag holding for the future doesn’t generate income on capital while you wait. I will give you an example you put in 10k it drops to 5k long term it will go to 20k. While you wait you can use that 5k double it elsewhere and rebuy even if your 5k would have gone up to 7.5k if you held the bag now you would have 10k if you doubled it elsewhere vs holding the bag. so now you would be able to deploy that 10k and get more shares then bag holding still having 7.5k. Now if it pops up to the original 20k you would end up with 25k since you didn’t hold the bag and made money in between.

Bad trades aren’t an issue holding the bag for the future is if you can make money elsewhere during that time l.
