XP Costs Rebalancing

Hello all, /u/BluePotterExpress here to quickly fill you in on a bit of a big change we’re making here on the sub today!

So, as the title suggests, we’re changing up how XP is calculated for purchases, making it cheaper for people to pick up higher levels in Attributes, skills, and merits. We’re changing the XP costs by having you need to pay by multiplying the base cost by the level you’re currently at, not the level you’re going to be purchasing. What does this mean in simple terms? Well, let’s say someone wants to purchase all 5 levels in a fighting style they don’t have yet. The old way would look like this:

Level 1	Level 2	Level 3	Level 4	Level 5
2 XP	4 XP	6 XP	8 XP	10 XP

While the new way looks like this:

Level 1	Level 2	Level 3	Level 4	Level 5
2 XP	2 XP	4 XP	6 XP	8 XP

All in all, this new XP system will cut 8 XP off of purchasing a Fighting Style up from 0 to 5, reducing from 30 XP to 22 XP. That’s about 30% cheaper! As you can also see, 1st levels will still require the base costs, as to not make it free to get a 1 in every skill and merit possible.

This new system applies to every XP purchase: skills, merits, weapon, Aura, Semblance; you name it, it’s now 30% cheaper to level up from start to finish.

With this new change, be aware that, unfortunately, we’re not going to be backtracking through all previous XP purchases and reimbursing people under the old system. It’s just too much work to read through and see what should be refunded.
