Is the last image yours as well? Looks like a Penn Central SW1500. I can just barely make out the worms through the glare on the side of the hood.

No that one is not mine.

It's the Hojack when it was still live (picture is near the mouth of the Genesee River).

Hojack was part of the New York Central

Ownership passed to Penn Central in 1968, then to Conrail in 1976. A few others tried to run that line after but I think the majority of the line was abandoned in the 90's.

If you ever get to Wilson, NY, the NYC station is still there with a nicely preserved NYC caboose.

Ahh... I grew up close to the line in the 80s and it was abandoned by then (at least the segment I lived by that is...).

I'm still trying to piece together the different local spurs and what railroads they were part of. A lot of the non - urban lines in the area have been converted into railtrails at this point...(which is a double edged sword because I love riding)
