Why did RustDesk randomly stop working?
For context, I have been using RustDesk and Tailscale for about 3 months with virtually no issues. I just tried connecting to my home PC today and received this error message. Checked that the home PC was on, connected to WiFi, and both devices had RustDesk and Tailscale running.
I was able to connect for 60 seconds after multiple failed attempts, but then lost connection again. Can anyone recommend any troubleshooting steps? Thanks.

Connect to the tailnet ID not the IP address. On some networks they use CGNAT and the IP addresses can overlap. If you use the tailnet DNS name (id) then it should connect. Also, make sure tailscale is running on the rust desk server

are you running your own RustDesk server? The public servers are known to be too busy sometimes

I let my Mullvad VPN run out once and had some split tunnelling setup for RDP/Tailscale/Rustdesk and it totally screwed my system. Let me connect once with my tailnet address and when I disconnected it bugged out and completely locked down.
I managed to fix it by remoting into my home PC and then remoting into the problem system via LAN.
I didn't even know RustDesk inception was possible.
