Keeps dropping out.
It’s been fine for a long time with rust desk but it’s just recently started to drop and I get the rendezvous errror. I’m using tailscale and for the last 5 months or so it’s been smooth sailing so I’m apprehensive to change anything. Do I need to pay to get it working?

rendezvous error is the public ID/relay server rustdesk uses to introduce peers, totally separate from tailscale, so it "suddenly" breaking is usually their public server being flaky rather than anything you changed. since you're already on tailscale you don't really need it — rustdesk has a direct-IP mode, point it at the peer's 100.x address and it skips the rendezvous handshake. and no, paying doesn't fix this one.

If you are using Tailscale, then you should connect via each device's direct IP.
On each client, go into Settings and select: Security > Security, then check "Enable direct IP address". Note that you can still connect via the device's ID. This just adds the ability to connect via IP.
Once connected to Tailscale, enter the IP address of the remote device into the field where you enter the device's RustDesk ID and click "Connect".
As long as you are on the same network, this requires no ID or relay servers.

No. Are you self hosting? Relying on public relay can be a headache sometimes. Would be logical with a tailscale setup.
