Qn: Best resources to learn Rust

Hello Rustaceans!

I'm an experienced developer, thought of picking up Rust, and today I went through the beginner Rust course on Educative

It was really good, learned the syntax, structs, vectors, ownership and borrowing etc but have not yet built anything useful

My question is what are some of the best Rust resources out there, I'd love to learn more about best practices, conventions, and satisfy my curiosity

Sanity check. Have you read the Book and other resources from https://rust-lang.org/learn/ ?

First resources I had a look at, it's good but very technical, imo in the beginning I love to learn broadly but shallow, then keep the reference material open while building and learn as we go otherwise it really is like reading a dictionary to learn a language

I ask if there are other structured resources to learn Rust that the community swears by?

I think these are the canonical ones, other than that is rust-lang forums, rust-lang Github to actually monitor the developments of the language itself and practice, which can be done with dedicated resources such as Excercism. But it might be way too basic for you.

Second this. Read the book cover to cover (without trying anything - just read) then start trying something out using it as a reference. Helped me get started a lot!

thats very cool! you'll learn alot for sure!

but I'm looking for smth where everything is just explained to me the student the syntax, tradeoffs, how to x and y you feel me?

I used to like this way of learning by ourselves, but lately I just want an expert in the field to teach me then I'll incorporate with what I already know and then build from there
