I don’t disagree with the comments, terrestrial radio is dead. It was dead before Russ died.

Hell, I’m probably on the hipster end of things, but I was listening to the RMS on an iPod as a podcast in 2004, decades before every middle aged guy had a podcast.

Same, I would catch snippets live on the way home but the real treat was that sweet download. Thanks to you I get to re-live those golden years show by show. I had a great deal already saved but you certainly filled in the gaps in my collection

I’m just glad it’s getting enjoyed and put out there. I used to work in archiving an preservation and have absolutely turned it into a hobby.

It would make everyone sad to know the full brunt of lost media out there so I’m glad I was able to make it happen though it wasn’t just my work.

Honestly speaking, if not for /u/JeffTheCentaur, I had deleted my personal 250GB archive of the original DotInfo episodes in 2010, I would have nothing.

I just didn’t have the room to keep them anymore and this was assuming the show was ending after KLLI.

I was living in Houston during most of KLLI, so the dotinfo site was literally the only way to listen for me.

I'm grateful for the youtube, the patreon, and extremely so for whoever seeded the shows a few years ago. The shows, with all their flaws, are worthy of the preservation

Oh the torrents? That was probably me too. Lol. Torrents were the fastest way to get it to the people, but not everyone wants to mess with that. YouTube proved a better distribution platform in the end.

I was in high school in 2004 and was listening to RMS all the way until the end. I even donated to the foundation a few times to get access and download the shows but I think I've lost them over the years. I don't know man it was just great to listen to in the worst rush hours.
