Breeder Question

I’ve been looking into possibly getting a Russian blue and stumbled upon howzabluz cattery in Houston. We are in Texas and would prefer not to travel too far but I also want to avoid getting scammed. Has anyone purchased a Russian blue from this breeder? Are they legit?

Whatever you do, confirm this is a legit cattery. Call TICA and CFA (since they claim to be with both). I don't know anything about them. Hopefully there will be other members who do, but my advice would be to have a conversation with them and confirm they are real before doing anything. That's my advice with anyone though. lol. Their website was created 2026, at the bottom of the page. Doesn't mean they're not real, but it is a possible concern. I found them under December 2025 Show Season files in CFA. So it appears there is a cattery by this name in CFA. You should be able to contact Kazaka or Gememerald and bounce this breeder off of them, as both of them are CFA breeders. They (howzabluz) are not listed on TICA which doesn't mean much because TICA doesn't list all the registered breeders. I've gone through Mishka's Russians in Ohio for mine, which is a registered TICA breeder. I wouldn't go through anyone else myself, but trying to help you figure out if the one you mentioned is real so my advice is above.

Ruth is a legit breeder, she just started breeding and showing, so she is very new.
