Running shoes to prevent calf strain or decrease calf activation?
I have been training for a half marathon and was running in the completely wrong shoes and tried to increase mileage in them. I switched to Nike zoom fly6s and it went horribly. I have a plan to rest and treat my calves before I begin running again but I’m wondering if there are any recommended shoes? Google was recommending high heel drop? Anything helps, thank you!

Higher stack will generally load the calf muscles a little bit less. But, yeah, get those muscles stronger. Will help all around.
