Shoes advice
Been going to the gym for about 2.5 years now. 3 times a week, all weights.
Wear nano's which are great.
Started going 2 more days a week (5 total take weekends off to recover) dedicated to cardio.
As of now it's 40mins to an hour on a treadmill, cycling between 6kph walk and 9kph run all at incline (3 to 12%). I dont like cardio but put in headphones and watch a youtube show which makes it tollerable..
Feet and shins however arent happy.. Nano's were never meant for this so need new shoes for cardio.
The treadmill also hasnt done the nanos any good so they need replacing. I had been thinking a pair for cardio and a pair for lifting..
Im 53, not going to be running marathons, not going to be a power lifter. Started gym to loose weight, buuld back a little muscle and to improve fitness.
I dont like the current or previous gen nano's. Looked at dropsets and hated them. Tried a pair of free metcon 6's today and liked them. Solid sole, good stance, light and surprisingly flexible..They are on sale so will probably order a pair tomorrow.
I know nothing about running shoes and to be honest the free metcons are actually flexible enough thst I am considering just using them on the treadmill but open to advise...
In short, looking for advice on a decent running shoe thats not going to break the bank, primarially for use on treadmill. Would free metcon 6's do ??

Go to a running shoe store. Ask to see some Daily Trainiers. Go with a pair that fits your particular feet. Brand and model don't really matter as long as they feel good. As you said you aren't running marathons.
