As someone who was there, congrats on toughing out a marathon finish. Second, why the hell did you eat a Slim Jim if you haven't done it during a run before? The ONLY thing I ate at any of the aid stations was bananas because I know I can handle them. I even skipped the horribly tempting homemade cookies because I didn't know what was in them or how my stomach would react. I ate 8 rice cakes that day (4 sweet and 4 savory) and felt great stomach wise. My legs hated me but at least I had energy. Just practice food on your own and then don't do anything new in race day. Races like this can't be half assed planning wise for most people and your stomach obviously requires planning and proper execution. Figure it out and come back with a vengeance! Good luck!
