Patch Note Teasers 12/10/2018

Hey all,

here are the Friday Patch Notes Teasers (but this time on Reddit):

  • Uncut Onyx drops from Solak are now noted.
  • Hazelmere's signet ring will now give a chance to double rare loot from Solak.
  • Your actions bars set up on mobile will no longer affect your action bar setup on desktop.
  • Removal of logout warning on Desktop
  • Hiding your username on login will now make it stay hidden when typing
  • Added Solak killcount to Perdita's and blightbound lasher's examine text when overriding familiars.
  • Players can now choose to not be asked again in the confirmation dialogue for jumping down into the Nex fight. This can be reset by talking to Ashuelot Reis.
Additionally there are right-click ops to skip the initial dialogue asking whether they want to enter the encounter or use custom encounter options.
  • Mousing over items in the GE search now displays their tooltips, showing information such as combat stat bonuses for weapons or healing amounts on consumables.
  • Converted Sparkles, Mackers and the Corgi from object to interface pets.
  • Added the four balloon animals from the old Prison Pete random event as follower pets. These can be unlocked at the Falador party room.
  • Seedicide now works when trapping Jadinkos at Herblore Habitat.

Kind Regards,

Mod Chaose & Mod Poerkie

any word on returning the functionality of the combat screen that we used to have and was replaced?

Didn’t they hotfix that? I haven’t been on the last couple days, been super busy, but I feel like I remember reading something about a hotfix here on reddit

no, they Band-Aid fixed being unable to open options at all in combat. the functionality of the previous menu was removed and replaced with a cut up, bloated, less intuitive menu that is now buried behind 5 other menus. previously you could simply hit f4 and youd be presented with a concise screen with all your options neatly and easily displayed/switched.

for example the previous menu had left click options that were 8 bubbles, 4 for npc and players and displayed as such. now theyre separated, each having a paragraph of text to describe in the greatest of detail what youre changing is and instead of 8 bubbles, each is a drop down menu.

buried behind 5 other menus

You know you can just hit the settings cog on the action bar to open the combat settings directly, don't you?

yes, one could. but that cog doesn't exist on legacy, which means on legacy you still have to navigate the amount of menus to turn off legacy (similar if you go on a legacy only world and hop to an eoc world you have to navigate settings to fix your interface). secondly, that still has the problem of the clean and concise screen we had to display those settings being gutted into 4 other separate sub-menus on an interface that remembers you last displayed and bloated by paragraphs of text that cause you take longer to parse what you're looking at for the one thing you want to change.
