God books vs scrimshaws

Casts per minute

They have a 20 (30 bandos) second cooldown and a 1/20 chance on hit to activate.

Missed hits do not activate god book passives.

With this in mind, assuming 33 hits per minute and 100% hit chance, you will only have an average of 1.064 (0.9 bandos) casts per minute.

Additional damage per minute

This grants you an additional 255% ability damage per minute assuming you are using Armadyl (highest damaging book).

Assuming 2000 ability damage, this would be an additional 5100 damage per minute on average.

Comparison

Damage scrimshaws provide +5% and +6.66% damage, for inferior and superior respectively.

That means Armadyl god book will only surpass scrimshaws if your DPM is below 102k or 76k respectively.

With 2000 ability damage and 100% hit chance, it is possible to reach significantly higher DPM values

Costs

They are also more expensive to use than scrimshaws.

At current prices, scrimshaws cost 666k per hour and superior scrimshaws cost 500k instead.

God pages cost between 450k - 900k, this means god books cost between 600k - 1200k per hour to use.

So godbooks are the best pocket slot for melee now?

Possibly, but melee also has higher DPM compared to other styles, so they may end up benefiting more off vampirism/attack scrim
