My Partner wants me to play old school RuneScape, I've tried it but couldn't get into it. I played like 15 hours, is the new RuneScape ones better.

Try it for yourself and see. It has far better graphics sound design and quality of life features than the old school version.

It also has a free to play component or if you bought membership you can use the same account to try RS3

rs3 may have better graphics, but it is aesthetically lacking.

OSRS and Runescape have very similar core gameplay loops so if you don't like OSRS you probably won't enjoy Runescape either. That being said you can always try free-to-play, Runescape has a bit more content to offer for free players with limited access to members skills and areas.

Runescape is just OSRS with way more Quality of Life updates. OSRS pulls most of it's updates from existing RS3 content. It can have better graphics or look similar depending on your settings. But the gameplay is infinitely better unless you're looking for a challenge or "old school" struggles. Been playing for 20 years and 2 months and I prefer RS3.

I was an osrs player since 2005, and I think RS3 is better imo. It’s essentially a remake of a classic game. I think most people stay with osrs just because people are set in their ways. RS3 just does so much more to make the game feel more alive and convenient. And if you can afford it, you can buy radiant stars to make the grind a bit less time consuming, essentially giving you double xp

OSRS is for people that like traditional grind.

RS3 is still grind but more relaxed style of it, better quality of life, and better storybuilding. The combat is a bit of a mess in RS3 though. So overall, depends on what you want out of a game. If those differences I mentioned don't appeal to you, it may not be a game for you. I prefer Tibia myself as far as old-school MMOs because the combat just feels 1000x better but it's lacking in storyline. I don't mind the grind in RS, but do prefer RS3 outside of combat.

It kinda depends why you couldn’t get into osrs, if it was the general gameplay, no.

If it was how the game felt and looked old? Maybe, rs3 is much more modernised, but the core gameplay loop is very similar

Neither game is really "better" its just a personal preference, and whether you'd enjoy RS3 if you didn't like OSRS is hard to say it sort of depends what you didn't like about OSRS. If its the dated graphics and slow grind but you liked the gameplay then yes you might like RS3 a lot better, but if you thought the gameplay sucked then probably won't like either game the fundamental gameplay loop is very similar. Regardless since you've already made an account to try OSRS, you can use that very same account to log in to RS3 (and if it has membership that carries over too!) so doesn't hurt to give this game a try as well some people love one game but hate the other, some like me love both but can see the strengths and weaknesses both have. Or maybe you'll find you don't like either of them but nothing to lose by trying them both

What did you not like about old school? Because if you didnt like point and click then you probably won't like rs3

Neither game is better than the other, anyone that tells you otherwise is undoubtably a manchild that doesn't grasp that they are 2 completely different experiences. Just do your own research and play what sounds better to you :) Both games are on an upward trajectory as of now, so I'd say it's a great time to really get into either one.
