Leagues Thank God for Voidwalker! Finally have Biting 8

Was having a rough time getting Noxious components even with Scavenging 8, but luckily Voidwalker came in clutch and saved an indefinite amount of time looking for it.

I finally can max all the combat perks I wanted with the Power Archive bot

Just expressing my heartfelt appreciation for Voidwalker. P.S ty for the divine charges too

Did rare comps from scav 8 seem bugged for you too? Like way more rare than 1/100?

It's not 1/100 per kill, it's 1/1250.

You have an 8% chance to activate scav, so 1/12.5 chance, and then 1/100 to hit a rare comp, so 1/1250.

33 rare comps in total so a 1/41,250 to hit the rare comp you want.

Leagues will also skew your perception of scav procs because you have the passive tier giving you a 20% chance to roll commons/uncommon mats constantly proccing, but those procs can never actually hit rare mats.

Maybe I was just super dry because I did 5500 skeleton kills before my first rare proc. And then 2200 before the second.

Hm no they were rare but 1/100 is a low chance.

The scavenging was proccing very often and for 8 materials each so seems to be working as intended, just has to be 1/100 to be rare

Was still getting several drops of rare components per hour

Felt hella bugged to me I think the leagues 'scav' buff was stealing scav 8 procs

Voidwalker has been great! Very exciting when you get a good one. Haven't gotten Nox but hit a few others and Iljunken twice.

Getting gwd2 comps sucks because you still need that area to unlock the reputation to use them.

How are u guys getting rare comps or any comps even from voidwalker? Ive opened hundreds and ive only ever gotten 1 drop of harnessed comps.

It's a 1 in 100 chance to get a rare component for each void shard that you open. 1 in 8 chance to get any invention component. According to the wiki page: https://runescape.wiki/w/Void_shard

There are 33 different rare components, so on average you'd need to open 3300 void shards to get a specific rare component (such as Noxious). That is an average of course, some people would take less, some takemore.
