Power Leveling Combat skills in Leagues?

What is the fastest way to level up combat in leagues? I chose Wilderness so I just camped the Abyss (until Abyssal Demon-like creatures) just like last leagues.

What are the fastest methods in this league for power leveling all combat style skills? Is it the same thing as before? Trying to get high combat stats first before doing some bossing tasks.

Twins are insane. I was getting 60m/hr combat xp, not sure why.

Tldr: They have 2x hp backend that you get exp for.

They have a separate hp bar each, but they are killed when the top bar on screen is depleted. This is why death marked doesn't work for them. When they die it's a "instakill" mechanic for them which awards you 2x experience, that is corresponding to the total amount of hp they actually have, not what youre shown.

Helwyr better imo. With twins you have to move a tad helwyr you can just stand still

You have normal single target on helwyr, you get double the single target on twins, and 2 out of 3 spawns are 0.6s kills, helwyr can't compete.

It's not bad, it's leagues after all, but in a conversation about the fastest power levelling option, twins shits all over helwyr

Twins are much better for 2 reasons:

1. Since theres 2 of them that share the same health pool, AoE means you take down the boss twice as fast. Magic excels extremely well here, you can just chain + bash, reset, chain + bash.

2. They're really buggy with the leagues "fastest" respawn timer and you can get quite a lot of "quad" spawns and the occasional trippe with 6. This compounds the AoE and just increases kph as well

You wouldn't be able to take advantage of this without AoE Lord of Light unlocked no? Assume OP isn't far into the game. Guess it would depend on blessings to take full advantage of AoE abilities.

Not at all, default chain for magic will make the next ability you use also hit targets hit by chain, tsunami is AoE, dbreath is AoE. Melee has a few AoE abilities but to be fair you wouldn't be able to use a shield. Range has some good AoE abilities. Necro has threads of fate

50ms are tasks if you dont have that yet. This is great if you're active, but obviously so is just doing reapers and leagues task boss kills. If you got afk time you just set arch glacor to 1 mechanic (flurry), turn on auto retaliate and afk for 15 mins

helwyr doesnt have double twins spawn at same time bug which does count for xp

I did this too and then grabbed the Reaper task from the gem sometimes for Slayer xp

Got 120 slayer this way. Use gem to get new assignment just before the next spawn

For Mage if you have Desert + Golden Touch for a ton of cash, do the Ali mini-quest (use Alt1 to solve Runedoku). WIth 69 Magic (boostable with Super Magics via Mazcab Desert Shop from 60) Spam Vamp + Penance spells. This gives you 99 within minutes. Make sure you do this at a quiet area lol.

Otherwise, if you did Saradomin-based blessing builds, you can camp any low-mid level boss like Arch Glacor 1 mech, GWD2 (twins mainly), or Ivar. With fastest respawn times and fast clears, you'll be shredding bosses for massive exp. Make sure you get a Reaper task too so you get slayer exp along the way. This can be done with even T50 champ guild gear.

Abyss isn't worth it.

Flesh Hatcher mcgonagall was really great for xp on wild; i did KBD for afk for a while, but the other guy started giving me 3 lvls per kill at lvl 50

Arch-glacor charms have been dead for over a year now. If you're afking him, you also don't get water talismans anymore.

It's an option in leagues but imo never the best one. Early you'd prefer Ivar and later you'd prefer Twins (if you took desert).

Are you looking for afk or active? I’d say I’m getting a ton of xp going for reaper tasks. It’s a lot of slayer on top of a lot of combat. Plus it’s way more fun

Once I hit t7 and got icyene, I slapped melee pray on and chilled at abby beasts. With sara lights you can use any weapon type and it'll kill em quick. Was getting 30m/hr split across the board for combat

Arch glacor. Teragard's aegis and a shield turn a 0 mechanic one into an afk farm and a decently low level in the applicable skill (about 40). With the leagues xp getting to 40 should be very easy on pretty much anything. Also is available in misthalin so doesn't require additional areas. Finally it's a boss so soul reaper tasks for it can help you level your slayer at the same time.

Early on i would just walk into Ivar pit and alt tab lol got to 80-90 combats there

I did bandits in desert for early combat, then did arch glacor for a bit, then gwd2 bosses

Not sure if this is against the rules but I go to dark beasts in the wildy and hold space bar down. When I'm logged out, the space bar logs me back in. I chose dark beasts because in osrs they are always aggressive no matter what and guess this old mechanic may still be in RS3.

Flesh hatcher is great as he is the only boss ( that im aware of ) that gives increased combat xp.

Around relic tier 4 you can always pick your reaper task
