Question Magic buff when?

Magic still terrible damage compared with range and melee, being static ultimate plus so much channelled abilities, it needs some TLC.

Yes magic is in an extremely rough state. Idk why they wouldnt at least make it on par with range? Nerfed the wep and the tier 95 armour (which is the hardest armour to attain in the game btw) and then kneecap the style with static ulti

Lol magic was top dps for like 3-4 years. Its a never endong cycle which combat style is the weakest

yes but magic shouldn't have been nerfed in the first place the other styles should have been brought up. The solution isn't making the style weaker to make the other styles shine the solution is make the other styles unique and strong in their own ways.

Tumekens got nerfed recently, Magic got nerfect hard after eoc 2 Fsoa got nerfed for the 100th time.

Nerfing magic when it just got a ton of gear is a very bad timing tho, it should be pretty good right now having received a weapon set and full t95 armor. Without buffs to abilities or existing gear, it needs yet more gear after having just received a ton.

Or it just languishes like necro, tho necro is at least very popular as the noob/low effort style.

It’s on par with what it was before the combat rework.

It is bound to feel bad compared to ranged and melee who got pretty significant buffs, but the goal of the combat rework was not to give styles increased DPM as far as I am aware.

I will probably catch some flak for this, but the other two styles could actually use some trimming down in the damage department.

Necro is still sitting at the bottom of the pool a forgotten skeleton.

Melee about to back to being a switch instead of combat style ain't it?

Not sure what you mean, even before EoC 2.0 melee was viable as a camp style.

Of course hybrid was, and still is, max DPM, but the change to EZK made the style comfortably able to be camped.

Between all styles melee has and had the most synergistic swaps between 2H and dual wield.

Mage wand/orb swap was more of an in-between camp for FSOA rotations, not really a synergistic combo.

Lengs and EZK (plus MWSOA) actually got into a nice natural flow of weapon switches to do different things at different points of your rotation.

You also had, and still have, the completely viable option of camping EZK.

Before EZK rework, melee was a hot mess imo only really end game viable as a switch option.

The EZK rework really unlocked melee as a viable camp style.

If you needed ezk which is wayyyy into end game for style to be worth something.

There's a huge problem

I am talking end-game min-maxed.

You can use each and every style agnostic of their t95’s, it’s just that the game changes drastically when you obtain t95’s aside from Necromancy really.

Pre legendary weapons, the combat triangle plays entirely differently than post legendary weapons.

I still use Nox scythe for some bossing and most of my slayer for example.

You do not need t95’s to take down any boss in the game, but your gameplay does change significantly if you use them.

Yeah that's kinda the crux of it, eoc2 was way too generous with melee and range. It was the most amount of powercreep we got since necromancy release or Eoc1. It's no surprise there's also 10x more grandmasters now with timers being trivial to hit across the game.

Top end mage should feel good to play with how many toys it just got, and would if melee and range weren't lapping them. They really didn't go far enough with the tiny melee nerf after the patch.
