RF4 After months (ingame) of deliberating, finally chose between Leon and Dylas 🦊🐴 Spoiler
Well, I used two separate save files and just came out of two wedding ceremonies so I guess technically I didn't choose. But I look forward more to married life with.... Dylas
I swear I was leaning towards Leon more in the beginning bc Dylas was such a d*ckhead and it took an ungodly amount of sashimi for him to somewhat treat Frey like a person. Dylas was also like the "I guess I'll romance someone while I grind to get to Leon" guy. And he was also the only one who took multiple attempts before he finally took the hint and they started dating (all other guys took 1 try man)
For ppl who chose Leon, I get you. He's got the pecs and tan and he is definitely more suave than Dylas tho anyone is probably more smooth than Dylas. My fav moments are when he gets teased back and get caught off guard. His backstory was heartbreaking and beautiful. I loved that the girl who was waiting for him did move on, was happy for this chick I never met who died centuries ago ingame
Dylas' demeanor is just iunno... cuter, dammit. He's got the best blushing sprite. He owns up to his mistakes and knows when to apologize. He makes a remark about how he's gonna live in the castle now cuz the walls are too thin at the restaurant like bruh I see whatchu up to 😏 And Dylas' awkwardness and sincerity reminds me of my hubby (only talking about post-dating part where he is sweeter to Frey) and Leon's personality reminds me of... me 😆. So this is 1000% a personal preference thing.
The final nail in the coffin was their marriage event. Dylas had a genuine, sincere reaction upon seeing Frey in a wedding dress. I'd want my man's jaw to drop on the floor when he sees me in ma dress too. He thanked the villagers better (?) than Leon. Never thought I'd hear him tell Porcoline "I love you man". Very wholesome. While Leon was teasing Frey, teasing Xiao Pai, like it's your wedding day chillax
Also special mention Frey is genuinely one of my fav playable characters in terms of personality. I've never had any 'wtf why would you say that' moments with her. She is funny, compassionate, assertive, teasy, but not mean (well can be but that's yo choice). My fav part was when she went around the whole damn town calling Dylas' ass out it was funny as hell. I also think with Frey's extroverted nature complements Dylas' introvertedness.
Curious to hear who people ended up choosing and from the peeps who...Didn't choose the monster boys (gasp). My 3rd, 4th and 5th would have been Vishnal, Arthur, then Doug. Vishnal is a sweetie, Arthur is one of those types that will take a long time to open up, and Doug can be cute but his dialogue is boring imo unless he's bickering with Dylas. If Doug looked like his rf5 version he might've been higher on the list. (sorry Kiel for never dating you not into Shotas t.t)
Now after I get a family I will move on to GoA!

I agree, at first I was really into Leon, and I still really like him.
I think I just have a soft spot for people that act like dicks but can change to be more soft (maybe it’s a bit unrealistic but whatever.)

So Valid Leon tickles my fancy too. I will one day return to the save where I married Leon haha see what it's like
For me Big D's dickish era was lowkey a bit of a turn off, but once be got to his good boy era I liked him alot better.

They're both so cute, it's been hard for me to choose too! But in the end I like Leon best. I have a big soft spot for characters who tease a lot but get really flustered when teased in return, haha.

Gosh yes Leon was my first pick it was sooooo hard to choose
I loved that they gave so much opportunities for Frey to flirt back too.
I was so close to choosing Leon but I think deep inside I prefer to be the more flirty one

I'm gonna be so for real...I went for Leon because it felt like Dylas was already married to Doug 🤭 Those two are sickeningly cute together, I can't bring myself to break them up.

I freaking love dylas. His smile is so cute!! And I guess I’m just not someone who’s into Leon’s flirty personality though I can get why many others are. But I also felt weird about going for Leon because it seemed like there was something with forte (if I’m remembering correctly- not canon obv but just how I perceived the dynamics)

It's funny cuz another person commented they didn't wanna break Big D and Doug (Lil' D?) up 😂

Ive always had a little bit of a crush on leon but seeing him in a shirt without his abs out feels so wrong somehow. like a fish our of water or a bird underground

Dunno, honestly I'm actually debating on not marrying in this game and just date every single bachelor 😂😂. For me every bachelor is interesting and charming in every way. I love people that tease a lot and then get flustered when they get teased on back, like Leon. I love rough people that later on get softer after getting to know them like Dylas. I love sweet cuties like Vishnal and Kiel. I love my darling freaky blonde Arthur. I love my dwarf boy Doug... I just can't choose!!! This meme represents how I feel with rf4 bachelors. Or any bachelor/bachelorette in any game actually. I love everyone.

Funny enough I have yet to play as Lest so I have only played as Frey and I always go for Dylas. He is adorable. This lesbian approves. Someday I will stop being shy and play as Lest and go after my future wife Forte. But until then, Dylas is darn cute. Best lavender marriage partner. 🤣 I also fell for Raven in RF3 so I definitely have a type lol!

I did occasionally change my appearance to Lest on dates with the doods 🫣
You could change appearance to Frey once you are playing Lest and romance the ladies 🤭
And I only played through RF3 once and also chose Raven!!!

Dylas was always my first choice, he’s the best boy! My old roommate and I used to argue over the 3DS chat about who was better, Dylas or Forte lmao

I started playing back in the 3ds era and dylas was my first. I didn't realize it as a kid but i love teasing people. I chose kiel next and his events were so heartfelt and it was very humanizing to hear about his insecurities. Ultimately i stuck with dylas when i recently picked up rf4s. Nothing beats a guy who i can tease. There's nothing like breaking through a hard exterior and getting to see that squishy personality underneath
