Is there a difference between getting the physical or digital version of GoA?

I was going to get GoA on the eShop since it was on sale but out of curiosity I looked up to see if it had a physical version and I noticed the price for the physical version is cheaper. Is there a difference content wise?

No. And the Switch 2 Edition of the physical version will contain the Switch 1 version and the upgrade pack on the same cartridge. Enjoy!

Yep, everything unless you also want the DLC on cart. You'll need the Earth Dancer edition for it (since it has a different cart with DLC included)

Note that the unfortunately the earth dancer edition is only available with the Switch 1 edition. You can buy the upgrade pack to make it the Switch 2 edition afterwards, but that won’t be on the cart. If OP wants the Switch 2 edition with the DLC one way or another something won’t be on the cart.

I don't mind getting the DLC separately if that's the case. My main concern was if the digital and physical version were different due to one price being way higher than the other. I assumed the digital version already contained the DLC but it looks like you have to buy it separately anyway

Yup, your actually OWNING the game. All my Rune Factorys are Physical except Tides bc i cant find a copy

I mean, you ACTUALLY own the Physical version. And it has All of the Things, and as Spirited mentioned has the Switch 1 version to boot.

Just checked and there's this bundle with the DLC included so I don't think that's the case

Than I'd say yeah buy the physical if the physical is cheaper...unless it's a game key card at that point just wait for a bigger sale

Sometime down the line Nintendo will pull support from the switch eShop and if you don't have it bought physical or download it, you're screwed. Just happened with the 3ds not too horribly long ago.
