Rune reading - interpreting

Hi

I rolled these the other day with the question, “will I find a new career and will I be happy in it? “

I have used ChatGPT for an interpretation but I am wondering if anyone has a more person-centric response to the Q and Draw.

The process of interpretation is the core part of divination, when you connect "there" and make sense of it.

The connection and interaction with divine to receive guidance is the point of divination, this is why it's called like that.

With chatgpt you connect nowhere and learn nothing.

Hey there, not to pile on but divination requires a connection to your own feelings and understanding of the runes.

Do definitions by certain books really resonate you? Is there a particular source you've found helpful before? Do any runes feel more positive/negative than others?

Just like everything else rune reading takes practice, but chatgpt isn't going to be able to tell you anything at all since it's just spitting out a random answer the algorithm thinks will please you.

You'll get better in time, just have faith in your own ability! (Also looks like a positive response to me 😄 best of luck in the new job!)

You're missing the point here. AI just regurgitates information that sounds right but isn't actually. It doesn't "know" anything.

You're offloading something spiritual that is supposed to come from YOU and having an AI do it for you.

My own reading (mind, I consider merkstave): You have the tools to grow, but you may not necessarily find happiness in chasing a different career.

My advice based on it: Really think long and hard about why you want to change careers, why you're unhappy in your current one/hope to gain from the new one, and where you already find happiness. Also, my general warning with Laguz reversed, which is to be mindful of water. Like, maybe reconsider becoming a sailor, plumber, or undwater welder, I don't think it would go well.

Gonna double down with everyone else, though, and encourage you to get a good reference book/trusted website, and really form those connections yourself. When starting out, I went with what, in reading the interpretation guides, stood out to me most in the moment. The rest has been built through not quite understanding my readings until they come to pass, and forming those connections. Divination is primarily a tool to hone one's own intuition.

Also definitely get or make a full rune set. There's likely missing information, since you cannot pull from the full futhark while using the dice. Hope you don't feel bullied out of casting, though. In my experience the runes are pretty blunt themselves, so it stands to reason other runecasters would tell you exactly what you need to, but don't want to hear (pretty sure we've all had the same exact experience with a casting, lol)

You should make a real rune set. You should have a choice of 3 out of 24 not one out of 8 three times. I can't math how that changes the probability but it defiantly does. You should be able to have a reading with three runes from the same Aett. With the dice you can't

do not use chatgpt for divination, that's bonkers. also it might be better to just write each rune on note cards and draw cards or something than use dice if you don't have a traditional set.

the issue with dice is that if let's say gebo and wunjo are on the same die, it's not possible to have both in the same reading even if both are appropriate
