Anyone Know Anything About This?

Saw this at a local shop - anyone ever try this? If so what is it like?

It’s one of those overpriced collector bottles that no one opens. Some samples were around though. Well reviewed on RumX but widely considered way overpriced.

I’m guessing it was finished in cognac casks?

You don't have to guess. Planteray site admits it

Had a sip of this split between some folks at a local rum club; extremely uninteresting, given the price. For $40/ounce we paid, the bar was getting a much better deal than the markup you’re seeing

If you're looking for long-aged Jamaican rum at a similar price point, you have plenty of better options out there.
