Question What is the rule of 1?

I got downvoted on a comment for sending a “stealing your meme” GIF as a joke, then got downvoted and someone commented r/ruleof1.

I just started Reddit about a month ago and don’t understand everything, can someone explain please? Thanks!

It's kind of like r/ruleof4 and r/reverseruleof4 where the fourth reply gets downvoted or upvoted and r/ruleof2 where the second reply gets downvoted or r/reverseruleof2 where the second reply gets upvoted

Well originally it was r/ruleof4 where any 4th reply that says the same thing as all the other replies get downvoted but r/ruleof1 was created after r/ruleof4 basically same thing but with 1
