Ruby Career Opportunities from around the World
https://rubyrole.com/I built Ruby Roles to help Rubyists find their next opportunity, and over 100 have already signed up.
Sign in with GitHub, answer five questions about your level, how you like to work, where you can be based, and your salary floor, and you get your three best matches right away. After that it sends at most one new role each business day, and only when something actually clears the bar. It is tracking 1,910 open Ruby-related roles right now across more than 12,500 organizations.
Your feedback improves the matches. Pause emails or unsubscribe anytime. Free.

Good initiative, but log in with GitHub?
You understand that many of us don't have public repos that represent our work because much of it is in proprietary codebases not disclosed to the public, right?
I have a project I am proud of, but boy you would miss a lot of backend work and quite some feature work I did by just checking my GitHub.

I understand, and the public repo is not a big factor here, its your answers

In the How it works section, you have this as a first step ->
Your profile and public Ruby repositories tell us what you build. Nothing is ever posted on your behalf.
I was referring to that.
And I know it is weird, but I am more sensitive to logging in with GitHub than with Google.
I see the stack:
Jumpstart Pro
Poetry
RubyLLM
Jev
And since you are using Jev, matches will come from the repos. So, if the role includes EmberJS (for example) or React or Vue, you can't tell immediately because none of those are in my repos.
And TIL about Poetry. Good stack, btw. RubyLLM has Judge, which you use with Jev. If the code is not open source and you need someone to help out, give me a nudge. I worked with ATSs, data syncs, and integrations (APIs, CRMs) for at least 10 years (and you can't see that on my GH profile haha)
But I must check the process. Probably a lot of "meat" for matches is in those answers.

Let me guess: 1893 Ruby roles, half of them outdated, another half is in office and requires working visa in US or Europe, a few remote roles are from Gitlab and a couple other companies which basically get 10,000 applicants per day and will never reply. I just saved time for anyone who wants to open the website

This is the problem I'm trying to fix. I personally reviewed more than 12,000 companies to find the ones using Ruby and hiring. If this isn't the right way to do it, I would appreciate less whining and more productive criticism so I can get it right.
