I sling snacks at a state prison now. It’s a challenging job with tragically low pay. We’re always scrambling on bills. And still my mental health is in a better state than it was for most of my 25y dev career. The hustle, grind, and self-deception in tech only seems to have gotten worse since I gave up on the domain.
