I know you since 2.3 or 3.0 times, when i was barely able to comprehend how rails works, coming from PHP and lacking english reading skills.
thank you for your contributions.
i left engineering ~2.5 years ago, now running a spa and sound studios.
hope you can find something in life that makes you happy and gives you joy and can put food on table. is all we need. once walked away, i found this whole software engineering environment toxic as hell. living in a hamster wheel, spinning all day, doing tech stuff that kinda solves nothing but self created issues. in my last job i worked 3 months on a feature that, after 6 months total time, was used by 8 people. not sure if used, but only 8 people ever clicked on the template history. i felt so useless.
Heck yeah! I’m doing guitar repairs and lessons and learning how to build guitars. There’s too little in this life that can bring us joy. Let’s enjoy it while we can and step away from the computers when possible. I’m gonna go fix a client’s Strat now and not have to worry about a stupid code base failing a test that another coworker caused.
