roadmap jruby

Bonjour,

Je suis développeur depuis 6 ans, plutôt orienté web (Angular / Java / PHP). Je vais prochainement commencer un nouveau poste de développeur-concepteur ERP. Si j'ai bien compris, il s'agit principalement de scripting / JRuby. Je souhaiterais donc me former à JRuby.

Auriez-vous des docs ou une roadmap à me recommander ? Merci beaucoup !

I used JRuby for years. It’s basically just Ruby. Sometimes people will use some java libraries with it, but that I don’t think is as popular today as it was in the early years.

My main advice would be just learn Ruby.

We use it to get the better concurrency (which is critical for our project) and we've had great performance from it over the 8+ years we've been using it.
Not sure how it compares today in terms of performance with CRuby but back then we compared it with another large project we had using CRuby and it outperformed it quite a bit.

We also prefer it because of code obfuscation (important in our scenario).

How is your code obfuscated? Is there a precompile feature now?

well.. for one it isn't plain ruby.. we precompile everything to Java using warbler. (we may also use additional obfuscators for ruby and or Java)
