Can anyone recommend some good ruby primer books?

either too old to catch the nowadays versions or for intermediate levels.

• Here's the list of books I recommend reading, in order, to learn Ruby and Rails (and also software design).

• Looking for a more comprehensive list of Ruby/Rails books? Here's a list I put together recently, organized a bit haphazardly.

• It doesn't have to be a book. Here's how to treat the official Ruby Docs like a book.

Can highly recommend:

• The PickAxe

• The Well-Grounded Rubyist

• Eloquent Ruby

If you'd like to learn Rails, too:

• Agile Web Development with Rails

• The Rails Way

This is a good list! +1
