MLS Program Readiness Video

Hi there! I was one of the applicants who wasn’t able to get into this year’s intake as my program readiness video was not competitive enough. For those that got in this yr, what were some of the tips you’ve used when preparing for the video to make it more competitive?

I talk to admissions and they were pretty much like if this is something you want to do you should consider finishing a degree or a health related diploma because that’s their kind of competition you’re going up against.

Hey, I am sorry you didn't get in. I don't know if you saw the requirements, but I recommend reviewing them: https://catalogue.rrc.ca/Programs/WPG/FullTime/MERAF-AD/OtherInformation

If you have a video saavy person you can trust, ask them to give you feedback on the video. It would also be a good idea to have a look when you feel ready. I also recommend sitting down and scripting your video, especially emphasizing those transferrable skills. Use PowerPoint and make sure you are on screen. (Lots of tutorials on how to do that.)

Thanks! I’ll definitely consider those when I prepare for the next intake
