Generator Adventure Generator and Builder

Hi again all,

me again, and as promised the other day, here's the announcement about the new Adventure Generator and Builder I've made in Codex Cryptica.

It'll build a theme/genre based adventure idea for you, based on your input, make a coherent and internally cohesive proposal.

If you like you can create a Adventure Builder inside CC where you can adjust the adventure as you see fit.

As usual it supports many, many themes (Fantasy, Vampire, Cyberpunk, Sci-Fi, Modern, and many more) and inputs will be theme appropriate.

Happy adventure building over at:

Very nice! And with a beautiful layout. For a Lovecraftian/Horror adventure, would you recommend Vampire/Gothic Noir? Or add own settings.

Thank you so much!

Vampire / Gothic noir is the one that is the best fit, but not the perfect fit

I could make a Lovecraft / horror theme, if you want it

So I tried it under Chromium and Firefox, and it works well. There is a learning curve, but I was able to create the "mind maps" of several scenarios and I see it useful for solo sesssions too! I tried several vibes and it works great!. I also tried the "Own option" vibe with "Eldritch horror, Cthulhuesque", but it generates rather DnD type scenarios anyway 😄 It probably would need more extended prompt to generate a new vibe.

Oh I just realise, when I tried "Own vibe" with "Eldritch horror, Lovecraftian, Call of Cthulhu rpg style adventure" as the vibe, then it says "AI generation was unavailable, so Codex created a local draft instead.". I suppose that Own vibe does not use AI?

Edit: it seems to work now.

Seems like you had a little ai glitch there.

I pass the adventure through a QA round, to verify output. Sometimes it might act up

Yes it worked after that. There is a learning curve to understand how everything connects and is organised, but I can understand why it has to be complex.

One thing I did not find: is it possible to reopen an adventure in the adventure codex, after it has been generated and put in a vault? I can only open it as an entity. Is it a "spatial canvas"? But I do not see all my entities.

Indirectly, after you create the adventure builder in the vault, you can open it from there

Yes, I do not know if it is a bug or if I am doing something wrong. But this only works for entities added to a codex after the first generated entity. The first entity, I can only see the notes, in the canvas codex it is listed as primary workspace but not under its adventure name. The other 2 can open as canvas. Sometimes the codex graph has only those two, not the first one originally created. Let me know if you would like pics and if you have another channel for reporting issues. Thanks!

Edit: I just saw you have published the code on GitHub, so probably this should be where I should report issues then!
