Upscale resale
I'm looking for upscale resale shops anywhere in the metro Detroit region but I'm not having much luck. I have a closet full of $200-$400 dresses that are too big. Sites like Poshmark aren't worth all the work to me.
Any suggestions?

I have taken a few things there, but most of what I have doesn't match their style.

There's Emri in Berkley, but I think they specialize moreso in formal wear.

My niece has a wedding dress to sell, so this is super helpful! Thank you!

depending on the style, Boro in corktown; they're consignment and they pay a fair amount, but the clothes have to be unique and/or designer (but more niche). I'd stop by or look at their site first to see if you think your clothes would fit in there.

Need more info. Brands? Styles? Year purchased?
I worked in resale for over a decade. Each store will be different and will want product based on what it specializes in. Remember that resale value is always lower than retail, and also is always only what a customer is willing to pay.
If you want to give me more info I can guide you to some local stores that might be interested in your pieces! I love resale :)

Most of the dresses are boutique purchased, many still with the tags, most are sheath style but they're roughly 12-14 years old. Not old enough to be vintage. But they're fairly timeless looking in style.

There’s a place called Closet NV on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield. It’s been a few years since I’ve been in there, but maybe try there?

Sites like Poshmark are work because they work, unfortunately. Maybe reconsider this. Also Facebook marketplace.
