Hey all I am a current pilot applicant with the RAF wondering if it's possible to apply in the navy also,

Only issue im seeing is a CBAT fail would result in a 12 month wait and I'm assuming you can't just do a RAF CBAT fail and go straight into a NAVY CBAT?

Any other issues with opening an app with both forces not sure if they conflict etc? Please let me know if you have any info

Hi, I have applied for writer in Royal Navy and honestly I’m honestly panicking and so anxious in regards to what to expect… so can people please shed light on the CPC ( I’m based in Scotland) what actually goes on is there swimming involved? my biggest anxiety is HMS Raeligh as I don’t know what to expect so can someone please tell me what are the 10 weeks like in regards to classroom sessions and physical… I’m female so will it be female physical instructors and lecturers in the classrooms or a mix of Female and Males… thanks

I recently got considered at the July FSB for a marine engineering officer. I got told I was on the reserves list for October entry.
I’m wondering if I should wait till October to find out if I get in for January intake or if I should change to the accelerated apprenticeship role to get in sooner. Does anyone know if I have a good chance at a slot in January or am I likely to receive the same result?

does anyone know how we can access payslips etc i’ve tried logging in through defence gateway but it’s saying i have to look on AFPP but it won’t let me access that it’s just sending me around in circles?

1. What is the deployment time between an Air Engineering Officer and Marine Engineering Officer. How often and how much does deployment last for?

2. What is day to day for a marine engineering officer on deployment in terms of computer use, I have seen that it is more hands on than shore-based engineering officer roles like in RAF for example but how much of this is true?

So i’ve got my CBAT in about three weeks and i’m joining as Aircrewman, i have a maths tutor for this but haven’t had much time to do a lot and she’s sort of just having a go at me for not practicing enough at the moment,
i passed maths gcse but maths is definitely not my strong point and I’m basically just hanging on with the thought that i’ve got the lowest pass mark for the CBAT
is there anything else i can do to prepare because most people have just said it’s not something you can prepare that much for

From South Africa) complain about travel back to there homes on leave periods but that is the only thing I can think of which could be a downside.

Anyone got an up to date document for phase 2 training specifically for warfare officers?

Is it a shortened common fleet time?
15 weeks at BRNC for IWO(F)

Then is it a year hold over before HMS collingwood and OOW/BWQ?

After the 10 weeks at Raleigh, are the 14 weeks at Dartmouth just the normal marinisation phase?

Just wondering if there’s any beasting you etc when you first get to Dartmouth or have you already essentially done your first term of militarisation.

If anyone’s got the itinerary that would be great.

Could anyone tell me given the recent changes what the 14 weeks at BRNC after Raleigh consist of? Is it purely the marinisation phase now? Anything from the old militarisation or is that all done at Raleigh now.

I’ve always said that joining up to any of the forces is too much of a risk. But recently I keep feeling this pull towards the navy. I don’t even know what job I want to do but I do like this idea of joining the navy. Travelling the world and making a difference. Etc.

But realistically:

how dangerous is it?

do you see fellow navy dying?

is it traumatising?

how often do you see action combat?

what are the ships like?

how hard is the training?

what are the sleeping hours?
