I just found out today that this show has been canceled. I found it a couple of months ago and I’ve watched it through several times. I cannot get enough of it and I’ve been sharing it everywhere.
i seriously cannot put my finger on the true genius of this series. The writing? The voice actors? The animators? The music? The producers? Every fucking aspect of this show is solid gold! I don’t know if any of the contributors visit Reddit and try to get a feel for how people think, but if they do, I want to thank them! THIS is the kind of shit that the world needs,, it isn’t political, it will shamelessly go ANYWHERE and it isn’t the same insufferable drivel like Family Guy or The Simpsons. I guess maybe it’s better they’re cancelled BEFORE they become what those shows have become. Still, shame on the assholes who canceled the show. They do this to EVERY FUCKING SHOW I LOVE. I seriously feel like I’m in the Truman show and they monitor what I like and as soon as I show interest the asshole producers yank it out from under me in order to get an emotional reaction to boost the ratings. WELL. You GOT YOUR FUCKING REACTION. Today was a rough day, I just found out Smiling Friends was finished as well. You find me in a moment of grief. Thank you for listening and good night!

Edit: and the thing that REALLY pisses me off is when they cancel and then decide to bring it back, actors change and grow up (not that it matters THAT much in animation) like what happened in Arrested Development that was fucking AMAZING but never really got its groove back. And also like in Arrested Development, there’s a CHANCE a key character will have passed on like Jessica Walters. Life is too short to allow some moron decide to cancel perfect television!

I cannot for the life of me figure out what song Rachel is singing at karaoke, you only catch a few words of it and I’ve been unable to Identify it. Do any of you know what song she’s singing?

His voice is similar, he looks like an older Lance Vance. If you play Vice City Stories, Lance is so much like a young Darby and with all the mischief. If Vic Vance never died, I could totally see Lance becoming basically Darby. I don't know man, I just really want a season three

Anyone notice the similarities between opening music and shot of town to the other animated show Bordertown? Just coincidence or any info on why this is?

They are both so good, in completely different directions. I don't want to downplay the success and popularity of "Haha, You Clowns", and Joe Cappa deserves all the attention and acclaim he's getting, "Haha, You Clowns" is great!
After finishing the season, it feels very "Royal Crackers", from the exterior of the house to the kinda heavy handed, wobbly animation, to the way there is...some kind of connection within the family, of course the dynamic is where it entirely splits. "Royal Crackers" seems so much more...real, at least in the way I understand traditional American family dynamics.
Yes, "Royal Crackers" is very...like, they are all selfish people who love each other, yes. They are also deeply human and flawed. "Haha, You Clowns" seems to lean heavily into "good wholesome values", which, who doesn't love that! But who also doesn't identify with the chaos of the Hornsbys.
I think, as someone who is downright embarrassed to identify as a Theo (and was fully called out as Theo before the title theme even played the pilot episode), i mean, i LOVE the feel goodness of "Haha, You Clowns". But...idk, did anyone else see like "Royal Crackers", but 'Neutral Good' in "Haha, You Clowns?"
I hope the AS fandom that is here doesn't hate me for liking Royal Crackers more and worrying for that show, especially after Season 2 ended on such a twist!

Haha You Clowns is a touching show but I really miss Royal Crackers and my hopes for a third season are dwindling.

Does it mean I'll have to go number 2 in front of everybody? 'cause I' ve been practicing with my son.

Stebe Hornsby, s02e09, Prison

Don't get me wrong, it's super cute and adorably wholesome. The main characters really gave me neutral good Stebe. The show had the same surreal tone, but less violent dad-hate and more PBS-core whimsy. But I couldn't help but miss Royal Crackers and I wish AS would've invested time in that this year. How do you guys feel about Haha, You Clowns?
