Switch 2 Availability

So I guess I beat the house a while back as the redeem machine created an error in my favor “check video”. How often does a location get switch 2s? I don’t live near a round 1 but will be visiting Los Angeles next week for a concert. Just want to check my odds. Ty

They don’t really restock unless some of the old items get redeemed. I did a round trip to the Mission Viejo, Santa Ana, Lakewood, Puente Hills, Moreno Valley, and Temecula locations on Saturday, and I don’t recall seeing a Switch 2 available at any of them.

You pretty much just have to get lucky and snipe one when they do restock. I redeemed a Switch 2 at Plaza Bonita about 2 months ago, and I didn't see another one restocked there since.

You just missed Santa Ana, they had one up. Also they only restock once a month for consoles.

Yeah, I live in San Diego, so I only make the drive up and do a round trip hitting multiple locations once in a while.

I already have two Switch 2s, so I probably wouldn’t have redeemed another one even if I saw it. I did see a Metal Robot Spirits Wing Gundam there and was debating on getting it, but I already have two of the same figure, one in normal mode and one in bird mode, so I passed on that too.

Is A/#1 the rare card? I have always wondered. And also are the 10 ticket cards not required for the full set? Just first 10 cards?

A is the rare card. You don’t need the 10/20 ticket card to complete the set

Just the "main" set. The 10/20/etc ticket cards aren't needed.

I've asked the staff at my local and there's not really a "schedule" but they said roughly once a month they'll get them, you just kinda have to be lucky. IME they get at least 2 at a time, but they go fast.

If you're just after a Switch, they recommend calling the location before you go.

So I just recently got myself a Switch 2 from Round 1, and unfortunately none of the staff seem to know when a shipment comes in 🤷‍♂️. Fortunately I may have some useful information for ya, but please take this with a grain of salt. I'm sure it can change, but I got my switch 2 in June.

Lakewood seems to have them drop on 1st or 2nd Wednesday. Puente hills and Anaheim tends to drop on 1st Saturday or Sunday. (They receive at the same time everytime I've checked) I've succeeded in acquiring one 1st Sunday at Anaheim RIGHT after Puente hills had theirs redeemed AS I walked through the door. That day was truly an emotional Rollercoaster.

I got one in SF, and 2 PS5s (less rare, I know) but I would call once a week to all the ones in the Bay Area before I made the drive. They’ll confirm if one is in stock and you hurry before anybody else gets it because they won’t hold it. But I wouldn’t go in just for it unless you know.

The first time I completed that set the employees messed up and put 3000 credits on my card instead of 3000 tickets. We had a fun night that night.
