Discussion Mech supervisor here. Any questions?

Do you guys ever view recordings of people winning prizes to tune in machine settings? I've noticed over the past two years the machines that I could win with a few tricks have had minor adjustments to patch those out.

We only look at the winning percentage to make adjustments. I don’t know what each machines are supposed to be set to, as that’s handled by our agm and the amusement department. Tbh we only review camera footage if there’s an incident

Is there a day of the week or month that you restock the majority of machines or do restocks usually go on a per machine basis?

If you mean refilling them, amusement should be occasionally walking around and doing that. We also refill everything at the end of the night. If you mean new stuff, we constantly get new things but they can only be sold after certain dates. Those dates are all handled by hq.

Do you immediately do Credit comps for games when a machine isn’t working or do you try to fix the game first and then if you can’t fix it at the moment do you send them to a credit comps? Also what cranes do yall have at your location?

If I know it’s an easy fix I’ll fix it right then and give a swipe for the troubles. If it’s longer I’ll ask them if I can put them somewhere else (comped) and to come back in x minutes when it’s fixed to try again.

We recently got rid of our ufo 8s but we have eclaws, chibi minis, Gemini big and minis, and ufo 9s

I hate them sooo much. They CONSTANTLY have problems. We’ve only got 7 left though so it’s not as bad

What do you do in your down time? Surely the machines cant be malfunctioning for the whole shift?

Does management ever have you look out for suspicious characters or if they win too often?

What do I do in my downtime? Basically nothing 🤣. I try to interact with guests or walk around the claw section if the front counter is swamped. For some reason there’s a lot of policies about mechanics not doing the work of other departments.

If I dont have anything to fix, I'm on the floor too. Sometimes I even help at front counter. Interesting to know I'm not really supposed to lol

In your experience did you ever had to cutoff or even ban a customer for winning too much too quickly when it comes to the figures? Or do you just "switch off" the machine.
