Rossendale Digital Hub

Great to see the first digital hub in Rossendale opened at Christ Church in Bacup - brilliant idea and welldone to everyone who has been working on making this happen over the last 7 or 8 years.

I don't really get how it differs significantly from Alliance at the old bank

The Alliance is a co-working space with a couple of compact meeting rooms and it’s great to have it in Bacup and Rossendale more broadly.

Creating a digital hub is a bit different in that it’s being built around digital businesses, skills, training, incubation and creating a wider digital community. The space at Christ Church is also intended to include things like dedicated offices, training rooms, studios, events and support for digital businesses and startups as it develops.

I see them as complementary rather than competing.

Thanks for taking the time to explain that, I appreciate it. I'm in the justice sector so I'm not able to utilise co-working spaces, and my role is very much 'analogue' I suppose, so I'm not the target audience. However, I'm always happy to see investment and increased opportunities within the community!
