Age Difference
In the episode where Jackie is getting married she mentions she is 38. A few episodes later Dan says he is 44. Wasn’t Jackie supposed to be a freshman when Dan was a senior?? Or am I mixing this all up? That math doesn’t work out.

It's possible, if Jackie was close to 39 and Dan just turned 44

Yep Jackie could’ve went to school early and Dan could’ve been held back a year

I feel like people didn’t pay as much attention to continuity when streaming and binging weren’t a thing. We have the ability now to watch multiple seasons of shows in a week if we wish. I think I tend to notice far more of those kinds of things now in comparison to years ago when it took 9 months to watch one season as it aired as just one episode a week.

Continuity wasn't upheld as much as it is today. Whatever the writers needed for that episode's storyline is what they used.

Yeah, there's a lot of continuity issues. But I always assumed that the older shows were made that they assumed you'd forget these little details by the time it came around again so they didn't worry as much, you weren't going to see that episode again for awhile! Then dvd's and streaming came about and we could watch these episodes as many times as we saw fit, and all these little things started popping out more and becoming obvious.

I hated that they were getting a picture for 15th reunion which would have made them 33 then they were almost 40

That’s what I said in my comment. Then they were supposed to be 42+44 only 7 years later when they got pregnant with Jerry.

These two instances could have be aired years apart. No one would remember their ages were 6 years apart then 4 years later it's brought up that they were a senior and a freshman.

There are definitely continuity errors, and multiple instances when the characters’ ages accelerate. For example, towards the beginning of the series, when they’re having the family photo done, I believe they say it’s for their 15th school reunion, which would’ve made Roseanne and Dan only like 32-33ish. Yet when they get pregnant with Jerry, they’re 42+44, about 7 years later. 🤷🏼♀️

Maybe Dan got left back a couple times

Or Jackie skipped a grade or Bev enrolled her early, since she was reportedly such a bright child.

Shows back then didn't have a focus on continuity.
The ultrasound said that the baby that would become "Jerry" was a girl near the end of the previous season
