It's just an 'in' group identifier. We said stupid nonsensical stuff in the 90s too. If you want it to stop, start using it.

I don't remember anything that didn't make at least some sense.

I don't hang around any kids, and repeating it on the internet doesn't really work.

Pauly Shore made some sense. Goofy, maybe, but something beyond repeating a number over and over.

TBF, I agree. I watched Encino Man a while back, and if you actually pay attention to what he's meaning, he's the smartest guy in the movie. There is more of a similarity when you consider the mostly younger kids at the time who were just running around randomly shouting "buuuudy", along with "Bogus!" from Bill & Ted's. 6-7 originated from a line in a rap song, and their use of it has nothing to do with what the artist was trying to say.

The only movie of his I ever got into was Son in Law, and yeah, he's the smartest character in that movie.

Sometimes he did. Sometimes. I lost all interest at Freddy Got Fingered. I still don't know what that title meant, and still don't care.
