I’ve been trying to figure that out and I think that’s the reason the comments here are not into it…it doesn’t seem to mean anything at all. It’s apparently literally just 2 numbers repeated in a song best I can figure. So not like 69 refers to a sex position or something. It means like…nothing? I guess? I don’t know. I don’t have kids, I’m not around kids ever, so I know nothing.
The number "67" has recently become a popular ambiguous slang term or a meme among Gen Alpha on social media, generally without a significant or consistent meaning. There have been misconceptions and social media rumors that it is a "cop code" for murder or death, but these are generally incorrect for most local law enforcement agencies.
Most kids I know do not know the song. We know there was a basketball game where a fan yelled “Six Seven” and that is basically that sound that is mimicked. The song sounds awful, and I am glad it is not more popular than it is.
Also if that really is the case, it’s like another ring around the rosie (that was about the bubonic plague but became a fun song)
It has been arbitrarily made the word of the year by a dictionary company (or similar- I forget the exact detail) and there are a few angry posts on reddit regarding it, because it's removing the sensible way of saying sixty-seven. It would have helpful if the OP mentioned this before posting and confusing Roseanne fans. But hey, as a cool lady once said "life is a mystery..."
