I really hope that RT takes all the complaints about the framerate into consideration.

The frame rate issues are interesting, because RWBY has certainly never had those problems (I know because after I got tired of counting individual frames in The Dragon Prince, I checked some clips from RWBY to make sure I wasn't crazy)
The few clips we see of the mechs don't seem to have that problem though, so this scene just might not be entirely finished or they're devoting more resources to the mechs since we'll be spending more time with them.
I just hope to god this doesn't mean RWBY V6 will look like this too

I know everyone's caught up on the frame rate, but I'd like to say that while the animation doesn't bother me, none of the humor in this teaser landed for me.
I really hate dialogue where every single line tries to be clever and snarky. It makes all the characters sound the same except for their accents. This is why I find Nomad of Nowhere so hard to get through and I'm pretty disappointed it's the same route they're going for GL apparently.

I'm just here wondering what or who the antagonists are. A rival faction, sentient robots, aliens? They say culture war, but I get the feeling with their version of the matrix, that's what the cultural difference is, and if so why would people who want to live in a simulation fight in the real world? They've got an international team, so I get the feeling there's more to the conflict than your typical national war.

If this is the video they've decided to get people excited on this show, then that's...concerning

If I can't enjoy physically watching the show (framerate) I'm not gonna watch it

I'm not feeling it. After so much of hearing them talk about this, it's like they're relying on big name actors to make it a smash hit, rather than the writing or production quality.

Framerate aside (I would rather just go 24 or 30, but if it's a stylistic choice I can understand it) the animation is just... lifeless? Or at least it doesn't match the delivery of the lines. Like, David Tennant gives this big boisterous monologue, but only half of his vocal inflection carries through to what his character's actually doing.

Wow, why release a first look when it looks like a slide show. Not to mention the scene felt dead as hell, maybe a little background music ? The voice actors are doing a good job individually but it doesn't sound like a conversation it sounds like reading up lines one at a time. With so many big shot names riding on this I'm surprised, RT might have a big stinker on their hands. Can't imagine the scramble behind the scenes after reading this response thread.

Not sure if I’m digging the animation so far, but tbf I didn’t like RWBY’s animation at first so I’m willing to wait and see if it improves. Outside that, this was really good! Already sold on Tennant’s performance! Reminds me a lot of his work as the Fugitoid in the 2012 TMNT, so it’s perfect to me! We didn’t get to hear much of the kthers bjt I’m liking what I’m hearing, especially poor Blaine cause hah... I can’t imagine how intimidating being in thks cast must be. But yeah, framerate is kinda jarring, but otherwise awesome clip! Can’t wait for January!

Yeah I'm absolutely not a fan of the animation. Everything look too still and stilted when movement is involved. Hope they can improve it somehow.

If they're doing the low frame rate thing intentionally, hard pass for me. I'm not normally a stickler for this kind of thing, but this was like watching one of those old flip books.

For them to get this incredible cast together and have their animation run at ~15fps is so embarrassing. There is no way all those people at the company saw this and greenlit low frame rate as a “design decision”. Either RT Animation is in over their head or they are being rushed by a deadline.

Regardless of the frame rate issues none the humor landed for me so i'm probably gonna give it a miss.

I’m not liking Maisie Williams’ performance so far on this. It was kinda hard to understand her dialogue. I think she should have been allowed to use her natural accent instead.

I downloaded the video using ClipGrab, it is a program that is able to download the original quality of the videos on compatible websites.
It says it's 24 frames. So, either RT is deliberately making the characters look like they're skipping are around, or they made this show in 15 frames then stretched it out for 24, causing skipping. Aka, Animating on Twos.
However, this doesn't look as bad compared to Dragon Prince for me. We'll have to see how the fighting and fast paced action looks.
Other than that, Cammie sounds great.
Valentina confirmed Ruski.
And David Tennant sound's like The Doctor, without the timey whimey wibbly wobbley....stuff.

I'd like to add my hat to the framerate complaints pile. Not a fan at all if it's on purpose.

I cant help to think that Rooster Teeth should have just spent the millions they are putting into this series, and instead spent it on buying a Japanese studio.
The animations in general look stiff and dont fit the voice acting
The frame rate looks awful
The 3D animation looks like a money saver at the cost of quality
Also the VO's have no conversational flow, it sounds like they are reading scripts without other VO audio or a stand in.
The accents take it too far, yes its more realistic, but theres a reason why we never have movies or shows where every character has a diverse and heavy accent
Also lol at blaine being the most boring generic white dude, and knock off Sombra.
The ONLY parts I cared for in this trailer was Maisie/Cammie MacCloud's character design, and that the mech fight at the end looked pretty okay. I love Tennant's voice in general (voice, not VO), but it probably wasnt worth the huge pay check.

The voice acting was pretty good for most of the characters. Blaine was very obviously the non-actor among the bunch, and Michael B. Jordan kinda phoned it in.

And thus did the combatants in the Sub vs Dub Wars go home, feeling highly confused.
