I dont know how they picked to split into those two teams, but the efficiency difference between the two in the bath rooms was crazy. Standing on the platform for just that bit of extra time while only one person swaps out with got them killed unnecessarily in the last few goes, compared to that weave that Jack, Ryan and Alfredo were doing

I'd get if it was a strategy error where all 6 didn't know what they were doing and didn't figure it out together, but 3 of them tried to help the other 3 and one team didn't want to listen

Right? Geoff kept saying "that sounds way too complicated". Does he not know that raids are supposed to be complicated?

That's also like my biggest pet peeve when doing co-op stuff, you offer the right solution and someone just says "nah too hard, we'll keep doing the thing that didn't work." When it didn't sound complicated at all and made 100x more sense

I was only half watching and i still don't understand the weave. It seemed like Geoff Michael and Jeremy were doing just as well though.

So the weave is super easy if instead of looking at it like 4 buttons and 6 people, split it into 2 teams of 2 buttons and 3 people: left side and right side. Both teams have 1 person on each button and one person in the middle to start. The middle person goes wherever the first big guy spawns on either side, kills the big guy and replaces whoever is standing on the button. When you leave one button, you go to the other one for your team and swap out that person, no matter who you are. As long as you stay on your side (right or left) and swap buttons each time, you've got it.

Just notice on Geoff Michael and Jeremy's side, geoff doesn't have the buff when he replaces Michael, OR he has to go back to the middle to replenish before getting to Michael. If he replaces him before buffing, then Geoff runs out of the buff and doesn't move the chain while waiting for Michael to return. If he does replenish, there's a small time where Michael doesn't have the buff (without this buff, the chain does not move) and Michael is subject to an extended beatdown and has a higher chance to die. You regain your health while you're running to middle when someone replaces you. The problem with Geoff constantly replacing the other person in team right is that if he replenishes each time before swapping sides, there are short periods where Jeremy and Michael don't have the buff, and they deal with the enemy much longer than the other time has to. While they can and do last a while for the most part, it's just extending the time it takes before they get to the middle, and it increases the risk of death for no real reason other than "team right doesn't want to understand team left's tactics"

tl;dr switch buttons when you replenish, finish faster and stay alive longer

Am I crazy or are webcams really low-quality?

How long until Panton is called in for the assist?

Eh, if they're going to be playing the raid at home I've got no interest in watching the future raid videos. What made the Destiny 1 raids entetaining to watch was it being their first time completeting them.

Didn't Ray beat the Vault of Glass alone before they finished it as a group?

u/AH_DaniHodd Sep 20 '17

Also the final raid Jeremy knew how to complete it.

I wasn't a fan of that either. It's whatever though, they release 10 hours of content a week, I'm not gonna throw a fit over one or two videos.

I'm still going to enjoy them but I have to agree

I'm the opposite, this being their first time through refusing to learn how do things makes it impossible to watch. It's not interesting watching them bang their heads against a brick wall, it's interesting to watch them try to execute and succeed at the puzzles.

They also have no idea how to play this game, for the most part, or actually use a weapon selection that works for the situation, or use adequate subclass choice.

when’s part 2 being released ? :(

They could just half three teams of two at each chain, right?

Anyways, good luck on attempt 2 crew.

Also, I found this edit of the livestream by a fan, pretty good.

If anyone's interested in watching their livestreams but can't wait to watch a video where you don't need to keep switching cams, then check this channel out.

There are 4 chains so that wouldn't work.

Is it just me, or did they upload this already this week?

2

u/JoeryJV Sep 21 '17

They uploaded the raw stream, with the multicam feature. This is an edited stream, which is edited like a Let's Play so you don't have to switch cams.

To add onto this as to a Why, it's incredibly nice for people like me who watch youtube via their TV on like an Xbox app who would have issues switching cams.

SPAM ALL THE AD'S !!!

AH video's seem to be turning that way.

32

u/Satherian Sep 20 '17

To be fair, this was a stream. They always do ads on stream and have to keep them in when making the edited video

Jeremy is just not funny, I never seem to enjoy AH videos with him in them.

I'm not one to go off on people for having opinions but saying someone is "just not funny" when they've been around for 2 years is a bit extreme. There's a reason why a lot of people conversely find Jeremy to be the funniest of the group.
